IKEA

Saturday morning we bravely headed to IKEA with both The Barefoot Princess and The Barefoot Baby. We knew what we needed and had a plan. So we crossed our fingers and said a little prayer that everything would go smoothly. IKEA can be a little overwhelming with crowds of people, lines, waiting for pick up, and so much to look at. BP rode on the push cart while BB was in the stroller. It was a successful mission and we now have a new white pedestal table with four white French country chairs in our kitchen. We have waited about 7 years to replace the set I garbage picked for our first apartment. I owe BP and BB's Daddy big time because it took five hours to put the set together, but as the IKEA catalog boldly states on the front... Home is the Most Important Place in the World!

Haven't braved Ikea with our little one yet. But you give me good hope. The table and chairs look beautiful and your husband did a great job.

Hilarious!! We were at the same store Saturday. It was a madhouse. And we didn't go until about 8:30pm. We were the last people there I think, and Buby slept in his stroller the whole time. Thank God, b/c we've been several times with him awake. We were picking out a sleeper sofa/futon for the playroom. Love the table! We always come home from there with unexpected purchases. This time it was an entire outdoor dining set with 6 chairs. We almost couldn't fit Buby's stroller in the car... we were laughing hysterically trying to squeeze it all in.

LP loves Ikea! I can't wait to see the new table and chairs. I think we have to go down soon, we need a patio set and I never even thought about Ikea for it.
