BP knew somehow that there was going to be a full moon. Not sure how still, but maybe her teacher told her? She said we had to have a "moon festival." I was clueless, so I asked and she told what it involved...Dinner, a blanket in the grass, and watching the full moon rise. We finished off the evening with a campfire. It was fun to go with her 4 year old imagination and to enjoy one of the last warm Summer nights.

What a great idea BP! She must have heard about it at school because Dylan is now talking about the planets, the moon and the stars. Your girls are growing up so fast!
That is so sweet. I love how outdoorsy the girls are.
Buby is sort of moon-obsessed, too. I guess I made him that way... we've been moon spotting together since he was born. The book and backyard stars guide you got him for his bday are so awesome! We've been taking it out a lot.
