Mom Confession #3

9 times out of 10 this is how our bed looks by the morning. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning (usually between 3 and 6) they each find their way into our bed. The Barefoot Princess simply calls for "Mommy" until one of us goes and gets her. She has never walked from her bedroom to ours. BP has slowly weened herself form sleeping with us. When she was little she spent the whole night in our bed. The Barefoot Baby goes to sleep in her bassinet which you can see in the photo is right next to our bed and then when she wakes up to eat around 3am she falls back to sleep in my arms. I normally feed her at the foot of the bed and that is where we fall back to sleep for the next three hours. This works because we have a sleigh bed and the foot board is very high. We love when they are in the bed and would not have it any other way. Someday they won't want to snuggle with us! What will happen when we have more children, you may ask. Wasn't it Anjelina Jolie and Brad Pitt that had a special bed made so that their whole family could fit in it?

I wish LP would snuggle with me. I only get about 5 minutes in the morning, then she's off and running again. I don't blame you for wanting it to last. Who could resist snuggling with those 2 beautiful girls?

I love when we all snuggle in bed. G runs into our room every night around 2 AM now. I know it won't last forever and she'll wean herself soon enough, so we just enjoy it while it lasts. Glad to know that you guys enjoy it, too.

this is cute! we've tried to get buby to snuggle in OUR bed (b/c i'm a fan of attachment parenting) but it won't work. probably b/c our bedroom is also a playroom for him and would just get hyper at 4am in there. but i must admit there have been times when all 3.5 of us have dozed off in HIS room on HIS twin mattress. it's tight but we're all so depleted by the time we're through reading to buby in bed. and it feels so good to snuggle. those are the times when he says the best things and whispers things in our ears, or just grabs my head and pulls me in for a big kiss and hug. i know he's going to grow up so fast, so these are my favorite moments right now.
