Mom Confession #2... Laundry

I guess this should be more of a housewife confession... I have this thing about folding laundry... I can only fold warm or hot laundry... If the dryer stops and the laundry gets cold... I cannot fold it... It has to be warm for me to fold. Am I crazy or what?

So do you just restart the dryer and make it warm again? I think this confession is hilarious. I'm not judging you, though...we all have quirks!

Yup... you're crazy. :) hey, at least you fold it. There is something about folding warm laundry, it feels fresher or something. Fresher? Is that a word? :)

I do restart the dryer for a couple of minutes and then fold it!! I think it is because clothes fold better if they are warm!!
And get this... when BP was little and now with BB I normally put them in their baby seat by the dryer as I fold and I lay a warm towel or soemthing on them... they love it!!!

I agree about cold wrinkly laundry. I feel exactly the same way about folding it warm. I don't think it's that quirky. I either fold stuff right out of the dryer (preferred method), or I throw it all in a laundry basket to fold later b/c another load is ready for the dryer. And then it NEVER gets folded. Try folding men's white tees 3 or 4 days after they've been all rolled up? It's my least favorite thing to do. And poor Tom has to wear them all.

And I thought I was the only one that had this fetish (as my DH calls it). He thinks I'm out of my mind - I'll restart the dryer while I put another load in the washer and then take the warm stuff out - there's just something about it. I'm right there with you.

It might be genetic...and if the clothes are too wrinkly I add damp a waschcloth before I turn the dryer back on. So no, I do not think it's crazy, you are perfect!
Love you!

Tom isn't the only one, Mike is constantly wearing wrinkled shirts dug out of the laundry bag. I never seem to catch the dryer when the clothes are still warm, and then hate folding them so the clothes tend to live in the laundry basket until they are worn. Why haven't I thought of actually turning the dryer back on? There is nothing better than nice warm clothes right out of the dryer.

I'm hysterically laughing here because my husband yells at me every time I restart the dryer- I'm neurotic because I think the clothes are going to be wrinkled if they are not red hot when they are pulled out...love this confession!
