3 Years Ago...

Three years ago to the day this picture was taken at my baby shower. I was 7 months pregnant with The Barefoot Princess and posing with my mom, grandmother, and mom-in-law. I love to look at this picture and think about how I had no clue what joy, love, and craziness was in store for me and these three ladies knew exactly what I would feel and experience becoming a mother. I have to make a note to get this picture enlarged and framed because it is one of my favorites.

Sitting Like a Lady

Same Age, Same Place

Our Little BB

Everday The Barefoot Baby looks different to me. Everyday her looks change. I guess it is becasue she is growing so... fast! She used to look like her big sister, but I do not see it anymore. I will not say whose side of the family the double or maybe it is a triple chin comes from... He he!!!

In the end she looks like herself, our little BB!!

Social Smiles...

The Barefoot Bay started to smile in the last week! Really Smile! Not just spontaneous smiles, but "social smiles," as our doctor referred to them.

Drama Queen

At just two months old, The Barefoot Baby is developing quite the personality. We have been referring to her as our little drama queen. She is cooing and smiling and of course letting us know when she is not happy. She would like to be held all day and spends a lot of time in the front pack, where she is happiest. It is already evident that our two girls will be very unique with very different personalities. Our lives will never be boring and I love it!!!

All Ears

The Barefoot baby is "all ears" as The Barefoot Princess reads her a story. (These moments as a mother are priceless.)

Look how big The Barefoot Baby is getting! I keep thinking... Can those cheeks get any bigger? And then they do!!! Check out my new pillow. Another Christmas gift that I love. It matches our new furniture perfectly. (I am so grateful for family who really knows me)

Osh Gosh B' Gosh!!!

Ok, so I admit to having I am having sooooo.... much fun dressing two little girls. I could not resist the matching pink and white striped overalls. Maybe because I had the same pair when I was little and maybe because overalls are perfect for The Barefoot Princess. They are so her! And who could resist them in the 0-3 month size. Our local outlet center has an Osh Kosh store and I have found that their clothes fit BP well, wash well and come in baby and toddler sizes!!! Yeah!!!

For a Friend...

Blue House Mom this post is for just for you! I had to laugh when you put Munchkinetta's holiday picture from her first Christmas on your blog because The Barefoot Princess wore the same dress with the same chubby cheeks and a very similar look on her face. So funny to look back now isn't it? They grow too fast!!

My Three Girls...

The Barefoot Princess, The Barefoot Baby and Bitty Baby all dressed in matching shirts. Sizes 3T, 3months, and newborn respectively. BP thought this was way cool!!! I love the way BB is looking at her big sister in these pictures as if she already worships her!

The Barefoot Baby is Growing

She was one month this past Saturday and she has definitely put on some lbs. Maybe because she has been drinking 6ozs. of formula every three hours and she doesn't waste a drop. Those cheeks just keep getting bigger and they are oh so fun to kiss!! Thanks to Daddy for the adorable purple outfit in the bottom picture. He picked it out just for her when she was born.

Bundled at the Beach

It was Monday December 3rd and while the snow / ice storm was blowing through back home we decided to extend our trip an extra day and play on the beach. Here are a couple pictures of BP and BP having fun on the beach.

Daddy captured these moments while The Barefoot Princess was playing last weekend. Look carefully at the first picture and take note of the cell phone in her pocket. I think these are priceless and I cannot wait to show her them when she is oh say ... 16!!!

True Barefoot Princess

These two pictures capture the true barefoot Princess. When BP's Daddy saw these he said "I love these pictures! They are so her!" I could not agree more. I think it has something to do with the hat and the expression on her face. We were on our way to the park last week when it was a little warmer and I snapped these as BP ran to the car.
