Future Prom Date???

This little guy is so sweet + such a charmer. I am sure he will be a gentleman + Baby C has our permission to ask him to her senior prom someday! I will warn her that he's a talker!!! They played on a quilt under a shady tree the other day for hours. Sometimes holding hands, talking to each other + swatting at toys.

Ballet Recital

Not sure if you can see but the thrid ballerina from the left is BP. Her recital was last Sunday and they danced to the sweetest little song "When I Wear My Magic Tutu." They were all adorable, brave, excited, graceful visions in pink. BP loved the braid they put in her hair and the special tutu. She also like the flowers Nana + Pop-Pop brought her + the celebration at Benji + Jake's (our fav pizza place) with her BFF after.

Teething

Yes we have a teether in the house!

Little Lady

We thought BP could handle Mama's retirement party this past Saturday night. In so many ways she is a little lady now. Here she is getting ready in our bedroom. She wore a "Parisian scenes" dress with patent leather ballet slippers and a string of pearls she borrowed from Aunt Cynthia. She knew it was a special night and was on her best behavior. I think she looks a little like Shirley Temple.

Wednesday White

Aaahh...the simple clean look of white. So easy on the eyes, refreshing + appealing. Then add texture, neutral wood grains, or pops of color and it really works!

On a seperate note: I love the bunk beds above...I can see our three girls gigling at bedtime in beds like these. Putting this picture in my file box just in case.

Playdate #2

Another little friend of Baby C's. She is a popular girl :) We will call him Little B + he was born a few weeks before Baby C. He happens to be the little brother of BP's longtime friend Munckinetta. But back to these two cuties. They laid on the big yellow quilt and totally interacted with each other. They were smitten + it was adorable! Check out their matching cheeks...

New Dos

BP and BB are both sporting new hair dos. We took an overnight trip to Brooklyn last week with a list of to do"s + must sees + Lulu's was at the top. It's a special children's hair salon / toy store. What a combo! More to come on our little adventure...

Name Change???

I think a name change may be in order, for this picture proves BB is no longer a Barefoot Baby, but more of a Barefoot Lady or Barefoot Beauty. What do you think? She tells everyone she is the middlest...and BP is the oldest...and Baby C is the littlest. I look at this picture and cannot believe she is going to be 2 and a half in a little over a week. She keeps us all laughing all day, everyday. She is so full of spirit. Her hair gets blonder and her skin tanner every second she spends outside. Lucky girl!

Her big sisters did not want her to be alone when she was napping. So thoughtful + sweet!

This is why driving while texting or talking on the phone can be dangerous where we live. You never know when the neighbors cows will be loose and running down the road. Cows can do major damage to your car...

Little Gator

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday mass was at 8:15 and we made it. With that being said...Now you can understand why BP is wearing the same dress she wore last Easter. She insisted on wearing it, and we had no time to argue. Oh and same goes for the Fancy Nancy dress-up shoes. as for BB, we were just happy to get her into a dress at all!

Playdate

Baby C and Baby A, I think I mentioned they were born a day apart.

Barefoot Girls

Everyone asks us who Baby C looks like...you decide...if you can tell them apart. Thank heavens my computer dates all the pictures I download. Looking at the year is the only way I can tell them apart myself.

Boys + A Funny Story

We have had some gorgeous weather here lately. So we hit the park by BP's school a couple weeks ago. The girls were excited to show Baby C "moo park" as they call it. I don't know if they actually thought she was going to play with them. She just slept the entire time.
There were tons of kids at the park, but immediately BP hooked up with Tanner, a friend from school, and BB teamed up with Nolan, another friend from school. They played wonderfully for over an hour with their boy friends. As we left BP told me Tanner said she looked beautiful in her dress. I drove home thinking about how there were tons of little girls at the park, and BB and BP immediately went with the boys. Oh, how to tell Daddy this story...but then I realized that boys make great friends and there was no drama and just happy playing for over an hour and that was a really good thing!

Tillie Lays an Egg

"Tillie Lays an Egg" by Terry Golson is absolutely adorable! BB and BP ask for it every night. Tillie lays her eggs all over the farm and the girls look for them as we read the story. Great photos and there is also a website (http://www.tillielaysanegg.com/) that goes along with it. The author has written many cookbooks, but this was her first children's book. We think she got it right on her first try. Bravo!

Potty Training

Never underestimate the power of the middle child!

She pretty much potty trained herself in two days...I guess it was time and she was ready.
